Mikako has finally completed the route of Aaron, her absolute favorite character in the otome game she loves. After enduring countless interruptions from Claude Langlois, Aaron’s troublesome rival, she falls asleep basking in the satisfaction of finally reaching her beloved character’s ending. When she wakes up, however, Mikako discovers that she has somehow been reincarnated inside the very otome game she was just playing. Even worse, she hasn’t become the heroine or someone close to Aaron. She’s now Lise, a maid employed by the hated Langlois family! But something is different from the game she remembers. Claude is still only a young boy, meaning Mikako has arrived years before the original story begins. And the more time she spends caring for him, the more she realizes that the “enemy character” she despised as a player is actually a lonely child carrying emotional wounds and an intense hatred for Aaron that began long before the game’s events. Unable to simply ignore the boy suffering in front of her, Lise begins supporting Claude as his maid. But as the years pass and the two grow increasingly close, her feelings toward the character she once hated begin to change, and so does the story she thought she knew.
