In the present day, people coexist with "yokai," or ghosts. The protagonist, Tokino Higawa (16), lives with a sense of discomfort. One day, her childhood friend is attacked by a runaway demon, but a girl saves her. This is a yokai fantasy that depicts the bonds between family and friends in a world of swirling monsters.
