Mujina has a bad ninja father who everyone calls Gokiburi. Like father, like son, Mujina is not doing very well in training. Gokiburi teaches Mujina the sadness of a life of dying for the leader, along with secret techniques, and later dies when used as bait during a mission. Gokiburi's wife, Ayame, approaches the leader for revenge. Shirobe, who had long questioned his life of dying for the leader, leaves the village. Mujina's group is ordered to deal with Shirobe. Mujina finds Shirobe, who has faked his death. Cornered and nearly killed by Shirobe to silence him, Mujina attempts to use a secret technique taught to him by his father, Gokiburi.
