In the year 2000, Japan is being attacked by spirits called Psychopomps. Standing against them is the Tokyo Resistance Division (TRD). Among them are Taro Kaede, a former yakuza with a dark past, and Mayumi Isao, a seasoned gunslinger from Hawaii. as hosts to powerful Psychopomps, the two must stop the "Council of the Dead" from merging the worlds of the living and the dead.
